Woolies organises flash mob for Madiba

Eyewitness News | Dec 11th 2013, 17:08

A video of a flash mob tribute to former president Nelson Mandela has gone viral. Madiba died peacefully at his home in Houghton on Thursday evening.

The Soweto Gospel Choir performed for about three minutes in a Woolworths store in Parkview on Saturday.

Between the food aisles, choir members dressed as Woolworths workers began singing Johnny Clegg's Asimbonanga. Many people who have watched the video on You Tube say that the tribute moved them to tears and gave them goosebumps. (Edited by Craig Wynn)
